Affiliate Disclosure

This page explains how Sagethumbs.org earns money, how affiliate links are marked, and how they are kept separate from software downloads. It applies to every page on this site.

How this site is funded

Sagethumbs.org is an independent guide site about the free, open-source SageThumbs extension. The software itself costs nothing and this site charges readers nothing. To cover hosting and writing costs, some outbound links to retailers and software vendors are affiliate links: if you buy through one of them, the merchant may pay this site a commission at no extra cost to you.

Programs we use or plan to use

We participate in the Amazon Associates program, and Amazon links on this site carry our associate tag so qualifying purchases are attributed correctly. We also use, or plan to apply to and use, affiliate programs from Wondershare, Adobe, EaseUS, Movavi, Topaz Labs and pCloud for the photo-editing, recovery and backup products discussed in our buying and comparison guides. A program being listed here does not change what we write about a product; guides are written from the same verified facts regardless of whether a link earns commission.

How affiliate links are marked

Affiliate links on this site are served through our /go/ redirect links and are marked as sponsored, using the sponsored link attribute that search engines require. Download links are never affiliate links, and affiliate links are never presented as download buttons. Buying guides that contain affiliate links say so on the page, and this disclosure is linked from the site footer.

Downloads stay separate

The SageThumbs installer is free open-source software under the GPL-2.0-or-later license, and there is nothing to buy. Our download page links primarily to the official SourceForge download and labels its third-party mirror option as unofficial. No download on this site requires a purchase, a subscription or an affiliate click-through.

Prices and availability

Prices, discounts and product availability change without notice. We do not guarantee any price mentioned in a guide; the merchant’s own product page is the only authoritative source at the moment you buy. If a guide and a merchant page disagree, trust the merchant page.

Questions about this disclosure can be sent through the contact page. See also our about page for who runs this site and our privacy policy for how data is handled.
